Rained Out on the Hoh

Woke up late, ate breakfast and broke down camp. The mainstream Hoh was too high and off color after a night of rainfall. .
Drove to the South Fork. High and fast, decent color so we fished a few runs. No luck.
The breakfast sandwiches were the highlight of the trip.

Most excellent campfire, though.

it's been sometime since I've been to the hoh. I do remember being consistently rained on. still a brilliant place.

Karl and myself attempted to use his rig as a battering ram to an unspecified coastal stream Sunday and ended up burying said rig in 3 feet of wet snow. 2-1/2 hours later, we were on the main road again seeking alternate fishing respite only to find what we had already knew. They were all blown.

Old school fire and breakfast as only WT can do.Question is where's the bacon fried cinnoman rolls?

Colin - Quite the mini-epic there, good stuff.

Uncle Tim (hence forth to be known as UTI) - We were in survival mode, no time for Bacon Fried Cinnamon Rolls.

How was the coffee?

"How was the coffee?"
Good question. There was no coffee as you no doubt know or would not have asked. I will explain it to the rest of 'em.
Chet was in charge of coffee and he blew it. It was the first camping trip of the year so one could see how one might commit such an error. Faced with the prospect of a caffeine free morning I put in a pinch-o-the-bear, forgave Chet for his foolishness and went about suffering in my usual stoic manner.

You know, despite the piss poor conditions, I wish I'd have been there. Looks awesome.
